Today, April 22, "Earth Day" is celebrated, the World Earth Day which reminds us how important it is to protect the environment and the planet. This day, established by the United Nations, with its calls for respect for ecosystems and nature, is reflected in the interesting photographic exhibition held in Valdobbiadene at the Villa dei Cedri in the recently renovated Ex-Opificio , entitled "Children of the Islands".
The exhibition was made possible thanks to the initiative of the Municipal Administration of Valdobbiadene and the Mayor Luciano Fregonese, the councillor for culture Giorgia Falcade and by the President of the Council for culture Lisa Comarella. An exhibition of photos and videos, the result of the sensitivity of Patrick Comiotto (Mr. Smith), which beautifully illustrate Fanjove and Songo Songo and their inhabitants, a people of fishermen and their children. Two islands part of an archipelago made up of 5 islands, called Songo Songo (from the name of the main island). Also the contrast in the shots that portray scenes of daily life in Stone Town the capital of Zanzibar. 
Visiting the beautiful exhibition halls, one takes an ideal journey into an uncontaminated world that needs protection. To this end, Comiotto, also in agreement with the Ambassador of Tanzania Mahmoud Thabit Kombo and some Associations, such as Time Farm by Michele De Gan and private individuals, has launched projects of environmental protection. Projects that need support and sharing. An exhibition that deserves to be visited to immerse yourself in a world of great charm and environmental beauty.
The times of the exhibition are: every Friday from 14:00 to 20:00, Every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10:00 to 19:00. All the works are on sale and part of the proceeds will be donated to finance Crowd Funding for the realization of various projects in the Songo Songo archipelago.
